Cow do I design and deliver workshops so that participants actually experience change?

PRACTICE FIRST

Practical classes, aim to bring about change, to move, and to teach specific tools. It is never a simple ‘lecture’, but a shared experience, exercise and discovery.

AN INDIVIDUAL APPROACH
As an experienced learning designer, I use my skills to tailor each meeting to the specific purpose, audience and venue. I never propose standard materials or schemes for each meeting, as each meeting has a unique purpose, needs and conditions. Even if the purpose is ‘no purpose’, there is a need to design the experience to allow for the experience – whether it is a surprise or the intended outcome of the meeting.

POST-WORKSHOP SUPPORT

I also provide support after the workshop – always. Often once certain processes have begun, the period of change, discovery and experience does not end with the workshop. Questions, doubts and self-discoveries often arise later when the work triggers change. This period requires care, understanding and support. I provide additional space for questions and answers – both immediately after the workshop and at a later date we agree on.
